Why Does Laziness Seem to Win?

I was home all day yesterday and forgot to write my blog. I was too busy chilling on the couch. Not bad for one day but it usually spills into other areas of my life. By the time I thought about writing, I actually asked myself why writing is so hard. Guess what? For me writing isn’t hard at all. It’s my laziness and complacency that prevents me from going all in sometimes. It’s the same with cooking and eating healthy. I just started a mission to eat healthier so I hired a chef to make clean meals for me. For months I could have been grocery shopping and cooking healthy meals, but it became so much easier to go out to eat. Now I’m paying for it in more ways than one because half of my wardrobe doesn’t fit. Why does laziness seem to win? Because somehow I convince myself that I can slack off for a day but one day turns into many days. Then weeks and then months. My blog fell off for about a month. My eating habits fell off for several months. This is my reminder that I have to be vigilant on staying active and doing what is best for my future. Which makes me think this…the real question is this. What can I do today to make my future better? We all have dreams, but it takes work now to make those dreams come true. Future books and future book launch party dresses, I’m coming for YOU!
