About Barbara Babbs Noel Gay! When God gives you a loving, caring mother, He blesses you all of the days of your life. This kind of mother allows you to grow and make mistakes in learning your way even if she's already told you the right things to do! My mother stood by me in EVERY decision I made to marry. She gave me the truth about all parts of the meaning of marriage. She watched me try my best and took care to love me regardless of the mess it turned out to be in the end. She loved him for my behalf. She counseled us whenever she felt the need. When all was said and done she still loved me, forgave anything I did in contrast to her instruction and encouraged me to keep loving because that’s what God tells us to do. I love my mother and know I couldn't have survived all that I did without her by my side and in my heart! #happyMothersDay #loveOnUrMom and #cherishHer cuz #uOnlyGetOne #missingHer but #stillCelebratingHer #mistakesAreLessons4growth #celebratingMomAllDayEveryDay
Let me tell you something else about Barbara Babbs Noel Gay! She gave me my smile and explained to me that I could use it to kill people with kindness. She's the reason I still smile today. I use my smile as my best attribute! Even if it causes questions, concerns, and comments because regardless of what it yields from others, it makes me feel GREAT! I thank my mother for giving me reasons to smile and showing that the world, as gruesome as it may sometimes seem, can't take my joy! #happyMothersDay #loveOnUrMom and #cherishHer cuz #uOnlyGetOne #missingHer but #stillCelebratingHer #celebratingMomAllDayEveryDay with my #smile
Let me tell you another thing about Barbara Babbs Noel Gay! My mother told me, "If you finish your education, you can write your own ticket to the world!" When she first told me that I was not sure if I wanted a ticket like that. I was afraid to....LIVE! When I first began my writing endeavors as an 8th grader, I wrote "stories" about relationships. Now I write poetry about the same. Few are about love, some are about lessons love teaches us. Unfortunately, for 11 years I was told by my ex that my writings were trash, didn't make sense and would have people thinking I am insane as well as living without purpose. That pause kept me from achieving goals that I had set for myself before meeting him....now, with my mother's advice in mind, #deezWords are requested and respected. I live with the purpose of expressing myself in order that #thisMightHelpSomebody! Writing, that I was told wasn’t worth the ink or the paper I use to create it, has been my therapy, security and expressive release. I am fortunate to have had my mother in my corner physically then and spiritually now. No longer will I let anyone thwart my efforts. God and my mommy continue to push me in my writing and I'm about to take my ticket to the world to other elevations. Thank you, Mommy! #happyMothersDay #loveOnUrMom and #cherishHer cuz #uOnlyGetOne #missingHer but #stillCelebratingHer #writingMyTicket2theWorld as we speak!
