To My Prayer Warriors

Over the past few months, my circle of praying friends has dramatically increased. I have people I can send a text to, and I know they are praying down heaven. This week when I got the one-two knockout punch/news from my son, I stood stupefied, but I started praying on my own and then reaching out to my praying friends. I’m sharing this because I know some of you close yourselves off when trouble comes. I would NOT have made it without many of you praying for me and praying me through last year’s problems. As troubles come this year, I turn to God and then you. Thank you for praying for me. Thank you for encouraging me. We NEED each other. I am not so big and bad that I will say A) I got here on my own (false) and B) I can do this alone (No way, Jose!) Today as I was driving I heard a message that reminded me of what Jesus said to the money changers in the temple. Jesus said that His house shall be called the house of prayer. I always think about the temple or now the church when I hear or read that verse. Today I remembered that I am the church…that WE are the church, and as such we must pray. As new challenges come into our lives that may very well shake us, let’s not allow those challenges to shake our faith. Pray and believe that God will hear and answer.
