God's Peace

John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.” Rewind. I knew that verse for how long but missed the last part? But the world has taken away my peace…at least I allowed the world to take it. I stopped watching the news because my peace was obliterated, but even just the headlines alone started creeping in and taking my peace. Problems of the world have overwhelmed me at times and anxiety crept in. I suffered from insomnia for years worrying about what might happen. This is my reminder, and perhaps it should be a reminder I put on the refrigerator. Angie, the world CANNOT take your peace. Pray, meditate on the word, and believe God’s promises.
