What Is Stressing You Out?

The original title of this blog was “Who Are You Following?”, and it came about after a conversation with someone about this blog. I was inviting a friend to read this blog, and she immediately said, “Oh, no! I don’t do social media.” And my first thought was who was she following that made her not want to be a part of social media? But then I put myself in her shoes. I completely understand what it’s like to unfollow people because of what they have going on their pages. And then I went deeper. In 2012 I traveled to the Netherlands and stayed with a military family. They only had TV shows that were sponsored by the Air Force. Very family friendly. There was no 24 hour news cycle that I had been glued to for years. When I got home, I stopped watching hours and hours of the news. In fact now I rarely watch it. I know. Shocker! However I find that what is on the news stresses me out. Okay, it either stresses me or angers me, and who needs to be in that negative place? I didn’t say I don’t stay informed, but I don’t get my news from anything on TV. When I was writing my first book I included a few things I did to destress, and some include turning off negative TV, removing negative people from my life, and not discussing work after I leave work. This weekend take a minute to list the things that cause you stress. What stressors are you able to eliminate?
