What Are You Producing?

I’m writing this blog with a humongous smile. Well, maybe not a humongous smile on my face, but there is an enormous smile and sense of awe in my heart. A few weeks ago I wrote a blog on what is in your hands. God has already given us everything we need to succeed, but we have to search within and use the gifts that we have. I started working on this blog about two months before I launched the website. I remember sitting in Panera writing but not really sure how everything would come together. Once I made the vow to blog for 365 days, the content really started flowing. Every time I look at my document it hovers around 25 pages every single day. I feel like the widow who didn’t run out of oil until she ran out of containers. The oil is here! Your oil is here! What are you producing? As the semester draws to a close I’ve been thinking about my various students and what they are doing with what they have. Some students come to school every day willing to work. Others have playtime on their agenda, and it shows in their grades. One thing I pray we do as the year continues is to remove our excuses as to why we aren’t making progress, and I’m preaching to myself when I say that. Last year’s blog was virtually nonexistent. Not because I didn’t have the oil or the insight to write. I was wrestling distractions, laziness, complacency, and so much more. I will write today, tomorrow, and the next day. I will continue to write believing that the oil will flow according to the vessels I’ve been given to pour into.
