Deja Vu Part II

I’m Baaaaaack! Right after I wrote the first blog on déjà vu, more memories came back to me. But these memories about are about prayer. About this time last year I was in my bedroom crying my heart out, face down on the floor. My heart was completely open and I purged everything that was hindering me from pursuing my purpose. I stood up, dried my tears, and was maybe committed for about a month. What happened to being sold out for God? As my best friend would say, I’m shaking my head at myself! So this year I had a powerful woman of God pray for me, and over and over and over again she said WRITE! I was in the same position as last year. Crying my heart out, face down on the floor. After she prayed, I stood up, dried my tears, and I wrote. And prayerfully I will continue to write. When it came to my fitness journey I had three times that I lost weight and then regained it. This is my fourth journey, and I’ve been consistent for about five and a half years. In terms of this spiritual journey and journaling along the way, I see the same pattern. Starting and stopping and starting and stopping. In as clear as a revelation as you can get, I know God is not looking for tears anymore but commitment. I don’t know what you have committed to do this year, but I pray that YOU DO IT! There is a tremendous joy in finishing what you start. I will never forget the day my first box of books arrived. I waited anxiously all week, and of course I had to fight Friday traffic to finally get home and open the box. Sure I know I finished the book and that they were coming, but it’s something about holding that finished product in your hand. What finished product will you hold in your hand this year? Let’s finish what we start.
