Luke 22:32 “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
I was listening to praise and worship on a live church service, and the praise and worship leader referenced this scripture. Lord, if this isn’t me! Let me give you some background. I spent most of last year in some type of torment, whether it was financial, emotional, or mental. Life’s problems kept on coming. But something else beautiful happened last year. I formed new relationships and made new connections with some wonderful women of God. So while everything around me was falling apart and even falling apart internally, God kept sending woman after woman to strengthen me. I had a conversation with my best friend about this blog and why now. Why is it that something I was called to do about 12 years ago is just now coming to fruition? Because I have just returned. This post is for my brothers and sisters who have been running. For those whose faith has been teetering and for those who feel like you have gone too far to return. Come back. Come back to your faith. Come back to your core values. I heard TD Jakes say that some seeds go waaaaay down in the ground before they come up. This seed (Me) went waaaaaaay down in the ground, and the beauty is when I came back up God was waiting for me with open arms. Why this blog? Why now? Because there are words I have to speak that I pray will bring healing and restoration to people. Words of hope and peace. Words of restoration. Words to strengthen my brothers and my sisters.
