I'm Not Going Back

I spend a lot of time trying to convince sedentary people that movement gives them energy. I’ve seen movement change my life and the lives of the fitness friends in my circle. Take these snow days we have had. I have friends who have been running in the snow and some outside doing burpees. I myself cannot believe that I ran in the snow or obtained over 20,000 steps two days in a row. Can we talk? Since I have experienced the cycle of gaining, losing, and gaining weight again, I know the dangers of falling back into unhealthy habits and sedentary living. I can’t afford to go back. I would have too much to lose. I don’t know where you are on your journey, but if you are at the beginning keep doing what you can each and every day. Choose to eat healthier and choose to stay physically active. All of those healthy choices make a difference. If you are in the middle or close to end (although there is no end), keep going. Honestly the poor stats of The Biggest Loser contestants who have lost significant weight and actually kept it off on have been eye-opening and an incentive for me to keep going. This is for a lifetime, so please commit to going the distance. I’m right here with you.
